Hello & Welcome!
I'm Kahli, a Registered Dietitian who wants to fulfill my passion of helping others heal their relationship with food and create positive relationships with their bodies. I graduated with my masters degree and completed my dietetic internship at Fontbonne University in St. Louis, MO. My masters is in Family & Consumer Sciences with an emphasis in Health Communications and as of May '16, I was granted a B.S. degree in Nutritional Science from Penn State. Originally an ‘East Coaster’ from Pennsylvania, I am a zealous Penn State Alumna (We Are!), crime novel bookworm, avid coffee drinker, and a fur momma to a Cocker Spaniel and Orange Tabby. I am passionate for depicting movement/exercise that brings individuals happiness; we as humans were made to move, but I do not believe you should hate the physical activity you are enduring. I'm a huge proponent of walking, hiking, strength training, yoga, running and really moving your body anyway that brings you joy. My full-time career is in a clinical hospital setting where I work at a small teaching hospital outside of DC. Currently I cover the NICU and a couple of other adult floors where I write nutrition support orders and provide appropriate medical nutrition therapy. I am also a human diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety and depression. My own personal experience has fueled my passion for how I can assist others in fueling appropriately with mental health diagnoses. I am hoping to continue to expand on this clinical journey as well as help individuals reach food freedom with my own practice. Thanks for visiting :) |
